Here is a multi-part video about Henri Cartier Bresson. This is yet more evidence that I must learn French since this video is in French. It’s still fun seeing footage of Bresson doing street photography.

I found this video of some of the photographs of the great French photographer, Robert Doisneau. There is no commentary, but I liked the music. Nice relaxing inspirational start to the day after Christmas.

You know when you’re getting old when you can’t remember the circumstances of an event even though you think it significant.

I don’t remember where I was introduced to Paul Strand’s work. I remember being at a lecture or film about him and I remember knowing that I wasn’t going to like the guy. I was wrong. I do remember that it was only a few minutes into it, and I was re-evaluating my preconceptions. Maybe that’s the important thing.

Here is a six part video about Paul Strand. It is excellent. It’s a much watch. So sit back and relax for a while.
