Novatron 4101 100 Watt Tungsram Modeling LampOur 100 watt Tungsram modeling lamp is a replacement for the lamp that is provided with the 2100C,2105C,2110C,2120C,and 2140C flash heads. This uniquely shaped lamp (that some refer to as a "mushroom") does not extend too far beyond the rim of the reflector. It is large enough to provide plenty of light, while being small enough to not block any of the output from its neighboring flash tube. Since it is so inexpensive, some professional photographers buy a box of them, so they always have extras on hand. It allows them to keep their modeling lamps on,in the studio, throughout the workday. Since it does not create a great deal of heat, the flash heads are able to be cooled through natural convection.

Novatron M500 Monolight - 500 w-s Variable w/SlaveThe Novatron M500 Monolight is fan-cooled and has two power ranges of 500 watt-secs (HI) and 125 watt-secs (LO) with each range being fully variable over a 2-1/2+ f-stop range. This gives the M500 a total range of slightly over 5 full f-stops. The unit also has an internal slave trigger that may be disabled if desired. A unique, feature of this monolight is the addition of a special sliding mount that provides convenient adjustment of head position. The Universal Barn door kit comes with a grid and 4 color gels with metal frames. Barn door devices alter the shape, amount, or color of the light output from the flash heads. The barn door can direct your light beam from narrow to wide, giving you greater control over your spill light. It can also be used for flagging and hard dramatic lighting. The set boasts an all metal construction that will last for years.
Using a barn door set will allow you to control the way you cast light on your subject. The positioning of the barn door's leaves will determine the size of the shaft of light. Rotating the leaves will determine its angle. A 4-leaf barn door provides more light control than a 2-leaf barn door set.
