I thought this was an interesting video of how a very modern view camera is made. I’m glad to see manufacturers still keeping this alive with the onslaught of the digital age. I was crusing around www.apug.org and found a link to a supplier of collodion supplies. I’ve been interested in this for some time, but have never taken the plunge.

Today’s camera is the uber sexy Shen Hao 6×17 field camera. This video gives a brief, but good overview of the movements available as well as the use of the film back.

I’d love to have a camera in this format. I think I’d have to decide whether to take the Shen Hao or a Fuji G-617.
