Here is a wonderful resource for anyone looking at older cameras. http://www.earlyphotography.co.uk has fantastic pictures and descriptions of many early cameras. These range from Camera Obscura and Wet Plate Cameras to TLR and 35mm SLRs to Disguised and Miniature (Spy) cameras. This is a really well done site and it’s very appreciated. While the reference material isn’t exhaustive, there are plenty of pictures and good descriptions of the cameras. There are also Company Details, British Patents and Serial Numbers.

Video interview about stereo photography

I was locked out of my house in the winter as a kid and the old guy next door let me come over to his house. He showed me all kinds of wonderful things, one of which was his stereo picture collection and his viewer. That was over 30 years ago and the memory is still alive, though he has died. I was just thinking about that tonight and totally got myself in the mood to research it. Like many things in life that I’m interested in and don’t have time for, I really have to do this.
Stereo Cameras on ebay – many are surprisingly inexpensive. I guess I do not really have an excuse
