Photography Site of the Day – digitaljournalist.org

Here is a monthly magazine, The Digital Journalist. It’s an online magazine of visual journalism.

Some of the material here includes: these photos by David Turnley on Mandela’s Children.

Camera reviews, such as those of the The Canon 5D Mark II or the Nikon D700 are from a photojournalists perspective.

It has technical tips and photojournalism articles.

My only complaint: Since it’s a monthly, it isn’t updated as frequently as I would like to see. I guess that’s life.

This is a site well worth visiting.

Youtube video on W. Eugene Smith

This youtube video is of W Eugene Smith’s photography.

His photographs are incredibly moving. I first encountered these 30 years ago and I find them as effective today as they were then.
